| life's been hectic - i never did post pictures of chloe when she was a newborn. but here are some more recent photos of the kids and our family photo from christmas. and yes, i know there are more photos of chloe than caleb, but that's because she stays where i put her, whereas he's now a fast moving target...

| We got Caleb a pair of sunglasses and here's a photo op of him sporting his new shades - kudos go to Michael for the excellent photography (all taken while I was napping).

| it's been a looooong time since i've posted an update to my xanga. and circumstances being what they are: 1) we're in maui 2) we're sharing a room with caleb 3) caleb is asleep 4) caleb is sick with a cold 5) thus caleb is sleeping fitfully 6) can't watch tv (it might wake up caleb) 7) can't read my books because they're in the room with caleb all in all it seemed an appropriate time to post an update. so what's been going on in our lives lately? as i mentioned we're vacationing in maui with caleb and michael's parents. and what have we learned so far from this experience? to never ever again take a vacation in the near future that involves a time change of more than one hour, preferably no time change at all. caleb is NOT one of those babies that if you put to bed later just wakes up later. it's taken him just about 6 days to adjust (sort of) to the time change of 6 hrs and actually he's still waking up some what early at 5-6am. needless to say, he's got great timing because he's adjusted JUST in time for us to go home and try to get him back to cincy time again. and apparently we missed out on experiencing an earthquake back in cincy - not sure we're really sad about that. other than the horrendous time we've had dealing with a tired baby who got sick no doubt because of lack of sleep suppressing his immune system - there have been some good moments. like finding out just how much of a water baby caleb is. on our first day here, ye-ye took caleb down to the beach behind the condo for a walk and came back with a baby with a soaking wet tush because caleb liked the surf so much that he just kept walking into the ocean until he was butt deep in the waves. he's also decided he loves the pool. now whenever he sees a pool, he points to it and says, "EHHHhh," and signs please or more. in fact if he's on his feet, he'll walk to the pool and pretty much try to walk right on in. in other news, we're expecting again with a due date of aug 29 (subject to change based on our next ultrasound). and we just found out last week that we're having... a GIRL. yes that's right a member of the Chang family is finally having a girl. we are still in shock and on an almost daily basis michael and i will look at each other and have to remind each other, "we're having a girl?!?!?" at this point i'm still dazed and confused as to what to do with a girl and am concerned that she shall remain nameless. i never did look at any girl names, even back when i was pregnant with caleb. hmm...i guess i could be doing some searches right now online... | | |
| 1) he loves to spin the wheels on toy cars, and now when we read books with pictures of cars, he'll reach out and try to spin those wheels too 2) when i start chasing after him saying "i'm gonna get you," he'll start giggling and stop dead in his tracks, turn around, look at me, and wait there for me to "get him," giggling all the while. obviously, he doesn't quite get the point of the game yet... | | |
